I was going through some shots taken weeks ago and came across this gem from a shoot at Valley Forge Nat'l Park. Remember this one, Mary? Mary Brooks-Brown shooting Cannons with a Pentax during some snow flurries. Not a snow squall or snow shower, but flurries. I grew up with flurries and they have since gone away from the weather language of the 21st century. I miss flurries, let's bring back flurries. (figuratively of course) Right now I just want spring. Well, enough rambling, enjoy the picture.Saturday, March 21, 2009

Cobble Cobble
Mary Brooks Brown and I cobbled together a nice little trip to Valley Forge Park this morning to take advantage of the fine dusting of snow that fell overnight. The snow was photogenic and we came away with some great image, not the least was this abstract design created by the snow filled cracks of the cobblestone. Thanks, Mary, for encouraging me to get up and out this morning.Sunday, February 22, 2009
Men's Room
My photo buds and I made a visit to "Graffiti Paradise" today. We shot many bracketed series shots for the purpose of creating HDR's. I did shoot the shot seen here with multiple exposure settings, however since only the doorway was over exposed, I used old fashioned dodge / burn in Photoshop on one of the middle exposures. The HDR I created, though very similar, had much to much saturation in the doorway scene.Monday, January 19, 2009

Longwood Tree

This morning I had another outing with my photobuds. It was a great day at Longwood Gardens. Here is an HDR image I shot and edited. And Betsy, this one is using 3 tone maps blended together. :)

Bridgehouse Revealed
Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting at Hopewell Furnace with a couple of my favorite photobuds, Mary Brooks-Brown and Anita Bower. We had a wonderful time and I shot a number of bracketed shoots for High Dynamic Range processing. Here is one of them. It reveals the interior of the Bridgehouse and top of the chimney Tunnel Head.Sunday, December 14, 2008

Taken last December. The fun loving Pat Shorten provides a photo op by chasing the local pigeons. Ah memories!!!
