Spirograph Eat Your Heart Out

The other night I joined a few photobuds at the Goshen Fair for some shooting fun. This long exposure of the Zipper created some interensting designs. It reminds me of my childhood playing with the Spirograph drawing tool.

Envy For Shadows

The morning sun created an crisp shadow that seemed so inviting that the frond that it mimicked was green with envy.

Sun, Sand & Seagulls

Iconic symbols of the shore. Where there is always something to delight the senses.

Passing Impressions

Walking along the beach I chanced to capture footprints in the sand moment before they were swept away by crashing waves. A study of just how insignificant our passing is to the grander scheme.

Confronting A Lonely Sea

Saturday I took the family down the shore (Ocean City, NJ) for some fun in the sun. Later on the boardwalk, I spied this woman all alone on the beach gazing out 'cross the waves. I found it a bit of a haunting lonely looking scene.

Classy Weed

I saw this growing in my father's back yard (field) early Sunday morning up in the Poconos. I had to trudge through the dew covered tall grass to get this morning lit gem.

Cloud Art

Continuing with my eye to the sky. Last week was a great time for cloud watching. So many dynamic displays so few memory cards. :)

Red Dawn

Took this shot while driving to work the other day. Yes, I know, but there was very little traffic and it only took a moment to shoot out the front window. I just couldn't chance waiting and missing this stellar sky.

Drama In The Sky

Last week there were a number of dramatic cloud formations on my way to work. I just had to stop and record the grand display.

Ripples In Green

Sticking with the leaf theme for this Friday post. A study in textures and shadows isolated through close focal macro.

Dappling Of The Fern

I have one Cinnamon Fern Growing under my Japanese Maple in my front yard. Each year I nurture it and it provides me with beautiful fronds. Here is a view with the afternoon sun filtering through the tree leaves.

Loose-Leaf Ribbon

I shot this during one of my many trips to Chanticleer Gardens in Wayne, PA.

Room For Shrooms

Here is an intimate glimpse inside the world of Faeries. There is plenty of room under those shrooms.

Roller Girl

This was shot memorial weekend while walking along boathouse row in Philadelphia, PA. I was using a lensbaby and had limited time to focus. I like the surreal dynamics of the shot though the subject is not in clear focus.

Train Kept A'Rollin

Shot in the New York Subway, capturing the impatient waiting contrasted by the speed of a passing train. I chose a cold tint to create a stark isolated feel.

Epicurean Row

This was shot in Manhattan, NYC while following Photobuds Marry Brooks Brown and Pat Shorten. They always seem to be up ahead, as I am always on the lookout for interesting impromptu shots.

I found this open air indoor cafe that was gearing up for the lunch time crowd quite statically energized, just waiting for the excitement that was soon to erupt.

Leaving Manhattan

After a very long day in the Big Apple, I got this shot of lower Manhattan from the deck of the Staten Island Ferry.

A Rush For Canoes

On Monday my daughters and I relaxed at Marsh Creek State Park. And of course no trip to the Marsh is complete without exercising the old shutter finger.

Shadow From The Past

Eastern State Pen has so much history and potential for lingering apparitions. Taking some digital liberties, I attempted to portray what may actually be there in front of us.

Catching The Gold

Back on Memorial Day weekend, Pat Shorten, Mary Brooks Brown and myself headed out very early to catch the sunrise in Philadephia. We all know that golden light is just wonderful, leading to a new cliche "The early bird catches to gold".

Shetland Chauffeur

Ready for the drive to the Poconos. Princess, our little sweetheart, assumed the wheel with gusto.

Let's go, Daddy-O. Get ready for a ruff ride.
